This Refund & Cancellation Policy (“Policy”) governs all payments, cancellations, refunds, and disputes made on DigiCrafts (“Platform,” “we,” “our,” “us”).
By making a payment on DigiCrafts, users agree to this Policy in addition to the Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.
1. Platform Ownership & Responsibility
DigiCrafts is legally owned and operated by Sahshar Alam, acting as a Sole Proprietorship under the laws of India.
DigiCrafts is the merchant of record and is solely responsible for:

Chargeback handling
Payment gateways act only as payment processors and bear no responsibility for service delivery or refunds.
2. Role of Payment Gateways
DigiCrafts uses PCI-DSS compliant third-party payment gateways (Razorpay, Stripe, PayU, Cashfree, or similar).
Payment gateways:

Process payments securely

Execute refund instructions approved by DigiCrafts

Do not decide or guarantee refunds

Are not liable for disputes, cancellations, or service quality
3. General Refund Principles

Refund eligibility depends on project status, evidence, and compliance

DigiCrafts reserves the right to approve, partially approve, or deny refunds

All decisions made by DigiCrafts are final and binding
4. Cancellation by Client
4.1 Before Work Starts
A client may request cancellation before the freelancer begins work.

Platform/service fees may be non-refundable

Refund approval is subject to verification
4.2 After Work Has Started
If work has already begun:

Refunds may be partial or denied

Evaluation is based on:

Work completed

Milestones delivered

Communication records

DigiCrafts may release partial payment to the freelancer
5. Cancellation by Freelancer
If a freelancer cancels a project without valid reason:

Client may be eligible for a full or partial refund

Freelancer account may face penalties or suspension

Decision rests solely with DigiCrafts
6. Dispute-Based Refunds
If a dispute is raised:

Project scope

Submitted work

Communication history

Milestone agreements

Funds may be temporarily held during review

DigiCrafts will issue a final decision
7. Non-Refundable Cases
Refunds will NOT be issued if:

Work has been completed and delivered as agreed

Client changes requirements mid-project

Client fails to respond or provide inputs

Delays are caused by the client

Off-platform payments were attempted or made

Platform terms were violated
8. Refund Method & Processing Time

Approved refunds are processed via the original payment method

Refund processing time:

5–10 business days (gateway-dependent)

DigiCrafts is not responsible for delays caused by banks or gateways
9. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

Users are encouraged to contact DigiCrafts before initiating chargebacks

Unauthorized chargebacks may result in:

Account suspension

Loss of platform privileges

DigiCrafts will provide transaction and communication records to gateways
10. Platform Fees & Taxes

Platform/service fees are generally non-refundable

Taxes (if applicable) are refunded only as permitted by law
11. Abuse & Fraud Prevention
DigiCrafts reserves the right to:
